Coast Guard officials are investigating an Ohio River barge crash that was caught on camera Thursday by a nearby boater.

The video shows the USS Nightmare aboard a barge that nearly hits a train bridge connecting Ludlow to Queensgate. Coast Guard Lt. Christina Jones confirmed the barge struck the right side of a pier that is attached to the bridge.

The USS nightmare steamboat, a floating haunted house that docks in Newport, and several other cargoes aboard the barge were not damaged in the incident.

The barge sustained a dent and the bridge was not damaged, according to the Coast Guard.

Officials say the barge hauler is being investigated for the incident.
